Christmas cross-stitch - Robin

Ok, I have worked out I have about 10 posts that I started to write over Christmas but never actually got round to finishing. This will be the first of them.

I know I showed you the cards I’d made from the cross-stitches that I made just before Christmas but I also made this little Robin one into a tree decoration as well.

I remember showing you when I took this along to my training course I did for work in December and sat in the hotel reception before it started working on this
And then in Ikea while I waited for Adam to go out for our date night at Pizza express.
I didn’t really get many (ok, so I forgot to take any) more photos of the actual cross-stitch in progress but I did manage to finish it. I found a little frame to put it in.
I found it a little tricky to see up the excess fabric at the back to make it all fit in nicely - maybe I should have trimmed it but I didn’t want to risk it fraying and coming undone. I did it like this just to try to get all of the fabric hidden in the back.
Then all I did was cut a piece of card into a circle and stick this onto the back to hide this little spider web thing I have going on here.
And my hubby took it to work as a decoration for his desk.
I’m pleased he got a good home and the little penguin made a friend for Christmas.
