Back garden tidy up
This weekend hasn’t been a hugely crafty one. I did do a bit of sewing yesterday afternoon that I really enjoyed but the weather has been fairly good outside so that always makes me feel guilty about being inside doing crafty stuff. I feel like it’s a waste of sunshine when the weather is good.
Yesterday I started to tidy up the back garden doing a bit of weeding where they have started growing in the gravel a little bit. I did a little bit then stopped for lunch and by the time I went back outside yesterday the wind had picked up and it was slightly grey so I gave up knowing that the weather was supposed to be better today.
I hadn’t done a lot by this point so here’s a before shot
Do you see the weeds all around the edges of the garden - there’s also gravel in the edges of the lawn and weeds from the lawn spilling over into the edge of the gravel too.
Today I finished weeding, edging the lawn and tidying up and then Adam came out to help me and we pressure washed the patio. We’re never sure if it actually looks better before it’s washed due to the colour of it (it was put in way before we moved into the house!)
Here it is afterwards (and still pretty soggy!)
Bring out the battenburg!
I know there was no before shot close to the house but you can really see the difference the washing made to the concrete around the house too.
I love these quiet weekends at home and the nice weather but today I do feel slightly robbed of my sewing time today. I hope you’re all staying safely at home and making the most of your own surroundings like we have done. Have a good week all - speak to you again soon.
